The Tottori Sand Museum is the world's only indoor exhibition dedicated exclusively to sand sculpture, where international artists carve monumental works from Tottori's dune sand mixed with water. Each year the museum adopts a new country or regional theme, demolishing the previous year's sculptures entirely and starting fresh.
