**Buri feeding time:** The yellowtail amberjack feeding (14:30 daily) is the aquarium's most impressive spectacle — 100+ fish (each 60–80cm long) create a swirling vortex as divers disperse food. The buri are the same species served as sushi; seeing them alive in massive schools provides context for Niigata's fishing culture. **Jellyfish gallery low-light photography:** The jellyfish tanks are dimly lit (to enhance bioluminescence) and the jellies move slowly — use fast lens (f/1.8–2.8), high ISO (1600–3200), and shoot at 1/125 sec minimum to freeze motion.
